The drawing series „Internal Affairs“ examines the interference of different photo archives from the same historical period. The work creates an independent image archive at the interface between individual and collective memories. Photographs from private albums and from public archives, taken during the same period, serve as initial material for the charcoal drawings. This connection of personal and collective memories creates a new category to write and to describe history. It is a method to thematize continuities and contexts of simultaneities.
