Alexander Glandien is a German artist and filmmaker living in Vienna. His artworks deal with the appropriation, interpretation and manipulation of history and have been presented in numerous international exhibitions and film festivals and they are part of several public art collections. He taught experimental arts at the Art University Linz and he was guest lecturer at the Facultad de Artes of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogota and at Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig. In the past years he has realized projects in the USA, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, Spain and Austria, he was awarded the Klemens Brosch Prize for his drawings and has received various scholarships and grants.
