The kinetic installation Zone is part of a series of machines that interact with the exhibition space. It is an adaptable barrier that is mechanized and automated, so it can constantly change its width, position and place. The moving installation crosses the exhibition space and, due to its programmed intelligence, does not run into the viewer. The barrier constantly defines different banned zones and creates an ongoing process of demarcation.
Feeler is a modified and mechanized flag holder that moves a dark blue flag and swings it back and forth. The swinging flag suddenly stops and violently hits the flagpole against the wall. The object explores its potential for freedom and its possible radius of movement in both directions and crashes into its limited space again and again. The mechanized movement of the flag starts with an imitation of a human gesture and ends in a violent and excessive outburst. As a result, the surrounding walls become more and more destroyed.

Based on the lurching movement of a green pea on a white plate, the installation Big machines give birth to little machines imitates this movement in an artificial way. The system is controlled by a camera that recognizes the position of the pea and actuates its movement without allowing it to fall from the plate. In this relationship of reciprocity, the pea reacts to the controlled plate and the plate reacts to the movement of the pea. This special interconnection brings natural, technical and artificial elements together. Next to the tracking system is an irrigation system that waters a pea plant.
